ysobel: Pink bunny (bunny comics), holding a sign: "jesus save / cthulhu eats"; text: choose wisely (choose wisely!)
There is a book I picked up probably when it was free on Amazon, that is so bad I am currently hate-reading it (but will probably stop because I have better things to do with my time).

I do not know if the mystery resolves in any satisfying way or if the characters ever stop being so cliche. But the writing is ... painful.

...I can't decide whether to keep reading or move on to something actually worthwhile. Apparently my wtf face for a lot of use this afternoon...

a) been kinda off-grid lately -- mostly health stuff (migraines, random heart palpitations that have no apparent cause at least yet but yes I do have a doctor appointment because this is a new thing, and stuff like pain keeping me awake last night until after 6am so I only got three hours sleep and the next day or two are going to suck) -- if I've missed anything important in your lives please link / summarize / tell me where to look?

2) I had a dream the other night where I got to meet Lin-Manuel Miranda. He was very tolerant of me glomp-hugging him. idek.

iii) I "lost" all of Wednesday to writing up my newest knitting pattern, Freedom of Hattitude -- knitting drama seems to inspire me.

backstory )

D) I also made a hat for a friend. Loom knit, a smidge too small because I couldn't find the right loom, so worked in twisted rib (e-wrap+purl) for stretch.

V) ...and once my brain recovers from last night's painsomnia, I want to play with brioche loom knitting. Fear me. Or don't; whatever

April 10: wheelchair freaks out, is temporarily fixed so I can keep using it until it gets really fixed

April 17: the repair place finally gets around to starting the process of ordering replacements

April 24: that order actually gets conveyed to the manufacturer

May 1: the part ships, theoretically

I mean, really.

Just what I needed: my wheelchair decided to utterly freak out and stop working.

...with me tilted all the way back and at a bit of an angle so I can't even get out.

Yay?

(at least I'm inside)

Probably because I am on KnitPicks' snail-mail catalog list, I got an offer from Vogue knitting magazine. Fashion knitting! Just what I need.

They included a bonus free pattern, I suppose to try to lure me in.

The pattern is for a hat. But not just any hat, nooo.

It is a ribbed hat.

With k4p4 ribbing.

And a bobble on top that you do by making an icord and then knotting it a bunch.

Dude, I am so there. I mean, who can resist?
